In 2014, Lagos State introduced the Lagos Home Ownership Mortgage Scheme, an innovative solution that has made home ownership easier for residents of Lagos State. Under this innovative model, residents of Lagos State have been able to buy and live in their own homes at a single digit interest rate, paying a monthly mortgage sum of not more than 30% of their monthly income. As at today, over 5000 housing units at 28 different locations across the state are at different stages of construction.

Working with a team of photographers led by veteran documentary photographer, George Osodi, JB Multimedia Studios was commissioned by the Lagos Mortgage Board to document, in pictures, the current housing revolution in Lagos State, and produce a photo book and calendar.
